After reopening our doors on 25 January, Hotel Scala is back with renewed energy, and not just in a figurative sense. We are launching a new café, so you can reconnect with your loved ones, and we welcome a February full of plans, because if one thing was clear to us, it was that our return had to be a big one: Valentine's Day and Carnival.
February is the perfect month to treat yourself to special moments, and at Grupo Scala we're doing just that with two unmissable events: a romantic Valentine's Day evening on Saturday 14 February at our hotel restaurant and at Brandal, and a big Carnival party on Sunday 15 February, designed for you to enjoy, share and savour. Choose the one you like best, or both if you feel like spending a weekend at Scala!
On 14th February, we will be dressing up to offer two unique proposals designed to make this day an unforgettable experience. At the Hotel Scala restaurant, we will start with a careful selection of flavours: prawns, a delicate mini scallop on a cream of root vegetables and a refreshing strawberry sorbet that will prepare your palate for the main courses: monkfish casserole and Iberian sirloin steak, topped with a creamy dessert.
The experience is completed with a wine cellar selected for the occasion: Pazo Arretén Albariño, D'eli Mencía, water and soft drinks, coffee and cava for toasting, not to mention the musical atmosphere with a DJ, the perfect setting to celebrate love. The price is 65€ per person, and for just 35€ more, you can add accommodation and a buffet breakfast to end the night in style without a care in the world.
For those looking for something different, our Brandal restaurant offers a special dinner with sliced Iberian ham, lobster salad and strawberry sorbet, followed by sea bass loin with root vegetables and garlic sauce, sirloin steak with Tetilla cream and a creamy dessert. Water and soft drinks included, wine cellar separate. An elegant option for 80€ per person. Whatever you choose, you will surprise your partner with the best Galician products.
The following day, 15 February, we will be filled with colour and music to celebrate our Entroido, with a day designed for all ages. On the adult menu, we pay tribute to our traditional cuisine at this time of year with a variety of corn empanadas, cocido soup, cocido do país, stuffed ears and filloas, paired with wines from our cellar. The party will continue with our DJ and drinks at £6 until late. The price is 50€ per person.
The little ones will also have their own fun space at this celebration with a children's menu that includes croquettes, pizza, breaded cutlets with potatoes, dessert and snacks. They will also enjoy entertainment by Barallocas, with their own party, costume contest and workshops, so they can enjoy the moment as they deserve. Because life is a carnival, and sorrows are sung away! The price is 30€ per child.
